Questions
Answered honestly
Including the ones where the honest answer is "we would rather not promise that".
Do you actually come out to the trailer?
Yes. This is a mobile service — that is the whole model. We work in your yard, your lot, at a warehouse dock, or wherever the trailer stopped, across Metro Atlanta and Middle Georgia. Every job photo on this site was taken on a customer's site.
Which areas do you cover?
Metro Atlanta and Middle Georgia. If you are not sure whether the spot your trailer is sitting in falls inside that, call and say where it is — you will get a straight yes or no rather than a maybe.
What kinds of trailers do you work on?
Dry vans, box truck bodies, and the liftgates hung on them, which is what our own job photos show. Other trailer types come up — say what you have when you call and we will tell you honestly whether it is work we should be taking.
Which liftgate brands have you worked on?
The gates in our own job photos so far include Maxon, Waltco and Morgan units, on Whiting, TODCO and Everest bodies. If yours is a make not listed there, give us the make and model on the phone and we will tell you whether we can source parts for it.
Do you use OEM parts?
On liftgate components, yes — ordered from the gate's own manufacturer. Hydraulic and lifting parts carry the load and the people near it, so an almost-right cable or valve is not worth the saving.
How fast can you get to me?
We do not publish a response time, because publishing one we cannot always keep would be worse than saying nothing. Call, describe the job, and you will be told honestly when we can be there — including if the answer is not today.
What should I have ready when I call?
Where the trailer is and how a service truck gets in; whether it is a trailer or a box truck; the liftgate make and model if there is a badge on the post; what the fault actually looks like in plain words; and whether there is freight on it. That is usually enough to bring the right part on the first trip.
Can you work on a loaded trailer?
It depends entirely on the repair. Some liftgate and hardware work is fine with freight on the deck. Floor and structural work usually is not. Tell us on the phone what is loaded and we will tell you before anyone drives out.
Do you take fleet work?
Yes. Several of the jobs pictured on this site are fleet box trucks, done in the customer's own yard with the rest of the fleet parked around them. If you are running multiple units, call and we can talk about how to handle them.
What does a repair cost?
There are no published rates on this site, because a liftgate fault can be a coil or a whole pump assembly and quoting a number blind would be dishonest. We work out what is wrong and quote the job.
