Moonlight Trailer & Liftgate Repair (678) 972-5179 (678) 972-5179

Mobile & on-site

We come to the trailer

This is a mobile business, not a shop with a mobile sideline. Every job photograph on this site was taken in a customer's yard, lot or covered bay — not in a building of ours.

Why it matters

A dead trailer is expensive before anyone touches it

Recovery, a tow, a slot in someone's queue, and a driver doing nothing — that bill often lands higher than the repair itself.

Working on site removes most of it. We put mats down, drop what needs dropping, and do the work in the space the trailer already occupies. On the liftgate rebuild pictured here the platform came off, went on the ground, got welded, and went back on without the truck leaving the yard.

It also means one point of contact. You describe the fault to the person who is going to be lying under the trailer fixing it.

On-site capability

What travels in the truck

Hydraulic parts, welding gear, hardwood, diamond plate, cutting tools and work mats. Which means most of the list below happens in your yard.

  • Liftgate pump motor and valve replacement
  • Lift cable and chain replacement
  • Liftgate platform welding and refitting
  • Trailer and box truck floor patches
  • Threshold and rear sill plate replacement
  • Landing gear legs and sand shoes
  • Steel and aluminium welding repairs
  • Roll-up door, track and hardware work

Some jobs genuinely need more than a driveway — a full floor replacement on a loaded trailer, for instance. We will say so on the phone rather than drive out and bill you for the opinion.

Before we roll

Five things to have ready when you call

None of this is paperwork. It is the difference between arriving with the right part in the truck and arriving twice.

  • Where it isA street address or a yard name, plus how a service truck gets in and whether there is a gate code or a guard.
  • What it isTrailer or box truck, and the liftgate make and model if there is a badge on the post.
  • What it is doingThe symptom in plain words. “Hums but won't lift” tells us more than “broken”.
  • Whether it is loadedFreight on the deck changes what can safely be done on the spot.
  • Room to workIdeally we can get beside or behind the trailer and put the platform on the ground.

How a call goes

Five steps, no mystery

  1. 01

    Call

Tell us what the trailer is doing, what is on it, and where it is sitting.

  2. 02

    Work out the fault

Gate, floor, structure or hardware — and whether a part has to be ordered.

  3. 03

    We load and drive

Parts and tools go in the truck and we come to the trailer.

  4. 04

    Repair on site

Hydraulics, welding, flooring and hardware, done where it sits when it can be.

  5. 05

    Back on the road

You load it and keep the freight moving.

Where we work

Metro Atlanta and Middle Georgia

That is the area the business covers. Yards, lots, warehouse docks and the shoulder where the trailer stopped — if it is in the area and we can get a truck to it, we can usually work on it there.

Not sure whether you are inside it? Call and say where the trailer is. We will tell you yes or no rather than guess.
